How much does the Commercial Drivers Legal Plan cost?

$39.95 a month for an individual driver. As an employee benefit it is $29.95 per month, at no cost to the company. Book a 15-minute call and I'll walk you through setting it up for your company.

Who does the plan cover?

The member and a spouse or domestic partner.

Does the plan cover a DUI or a substance-related stop?

No. The plan covers non-criminal matters. A DUI or a substance-related stop is a criminal matter, and the plan does not handle it.

Which DOT and non-moving violations are covered?

Your provider law firm represents you or your spouse on non-criminal charges such as logbook, overheight, overlength, overwidth, overweight, equipment violations, hazardous material and load spillage, and more.

What if the ticket was written in another state?

Your provider law firm defends non-criminal moving violations in the court of original jurisdiction. The attorney appointed for you is usually located in the area where you got the ticket. Transportation attorney fees are included nationwide when the plan is in place before the problem happens.

Why set the plan up before a driver gets a ticket?

Because the attorney fees are included when the plan is already in place before the problem happens. Set it up first and the law firm is there the day you need it.

What happens if a driver's license is suspended or revoked?

You and your spouse get 2.5 hours of legal help from a plan attorney for each of these: a denied driver's license; a cancelled, suspended or revoked license where you have a right to appeal; or help to reinstate a license for medical or job-related reasons.

Can I offer this to my drivers as an employee benefit?

Yes. I set it up as a voluntary employee benefit at no cost to the company. The price is $29.95 per month. Book a call and I'll come out and present to your safety team.

How many employees do I need for an employee benefit?

Three. An employee benefit can open with as few as three people.

I'm an owner-operator. Can I get the plan just for myself?

Yes. Individual drivers sign up at $39.95 a month, and most of the drivers I have helped came to me on their own.

What happens after I sign up?

You'll get an activation email from me with the steps to activate your membership. For a company plan I also onboard your safety manager and your company.

What is the CSA legal consultation?

You can consult with an attorney about points on your record related to Compliance, Safety, and Accountability (CSA) regulations.

Does the plan help with personal injury claims?

A plan attorney will help you or your spouse collect personal injury claims of $2,000 or less for injuries from driving, riding in, or being struck by a motor vehicle or boat.

Who actually provides the legal services?

Independent provider law firms. I'm a legal plan specialist, not a lawyer, so I don't give legal advice and I don't promise outcomes. I set up the plan and show you how to use it.

What is the 15-minute call?

It's my Protection and Solutions Discovery Call. We talk about your drivers or your own situation, and if it makes sense we set up a longer call or I come out in person.
